The benefits of Pilates are so many but to quote Joseph Pilates himself:
“Develop the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.”
Many people find their back pain disappears while others improve their sport performance. People also find that they greatly reduce their stress and move with more economy and grace.
Pilates practice should be practices at least 3 to 4 times for optimum results. A minimum of 2 sessions is recommended. At first you will learn to engage your center also called the girdle of strength then the two ways stretch.
Pilates is a great adjunct to many sports. It’s a valuable cross training regiment to improve your skills and to prevent injuries.
